Sophia Alexa has dropped a new single in the form of ‘Before I Go’. It’s taken from her second EP, Before I Go, which is a collection of hazy, beautifully put together tracks. This one is a tender, melodic cut that leans into its well throughout lyricism. “I wrote ‘Before I Go’ about this reoccurring dream where I was much older, married but unhappy. It made me want to write about the idea of settling and how much it scares me.
